I second-guessed Torre last night and I was right. He never should have brought in Rivera in the 9th. He should have kept Gordon in the game, who was pitching marvelously. Besides, Rivera hasn't had the best of luck against the Bosox. It was a horrible (but needlessly horrible) inning and the Yankees would have won if only Torrre had kept Gordon in the game.

(I should be manager of the Yankees one day!)

Wishful thinking, GFY. The Yankees were doomed from the start in that game, and ever after today's whooping we will take two of three and inch ever closer to first place.

Which we will have by the end of next weekend after the Bronx Babies are swept!
