skalie,my son's guitar has a weird vibration on some strings. It's tuned and the strings are new. Would maybe putting a sponge under the (string holder?) stop this?
(I'm thinking along the lines of sponge helps with helping distortion on large speakers)

The strings are meant to vibrate LP.

My banjo was doing that. Consensus at the acoustic music store was to A. try a higher gauge string, or B. it was a cheap instrument. Probably a bit of both.

It's more of a distortion. I'll get my kid stiffer strings. Maybe that'll help.

Take the guitar in with you when you go to get the new strings LP, someone in the shop will probably be able to identify the problem straight away as opposed to trying to troubleshoot it over the internet.

Strats are rattly as fuck anyhows (personal opinion).
