TV interview on CBC... quite funny... I heard she like's to consider herself an historian too.

Coulter: "Canada used to be one of our most loyal friends and vice-versa. I mean Canada sent troops to Vietnam - was Vietnam less containable and more of a threat than Saddam Hussein?"

McKeown interrupts: "Canada didn't send troops to Vietnam."

Coulter: "I don't think that's right."

McKeown: "Canada did not send troops to Vietnam."

Coulter (looking desperate): "Indochina?"

McKeown: "Uh no. Canada ...second World War of course. Korea. Yes. Vietnam No."

Coulter: "I think you're wrong."

McKeown: "No, took a pass on Vietnam."

Coulter: "I think you're wrong."

McKeown: "No, Australia was there, not Canada."

Coulter: "I think Canada sent troops."

McKeown: "No."

Coulter: "Well. I'll get back to you on that."

For all you don't like about Michael Moore and the fact that he only puts forward one point of view. I haven't seen him make such huge factual mistakes.

Anyone who's studied the basics of the Vietnam war should know Canadian troops weren't there.

corn, you havent really been watching him then have you? btw, what are the 'basics' of the Vietnam war and where did you study them? Whatever...

Im not trying to defend Coulter here...dont get me wrong...I think shes quite the mouthy bitch and I would punch her face in just as quick as I would the face of Sally Jesse Raphael...but its not like shes the only talking head to be found out for a complete moron.

I think that Coulter is easily more certifiable than Moore. Moore might be pompous and over the top, but he makes a good point from time to time. Has Coutler ever said anything worthwhile?

Perhaps I haven't really been watching him. What I've gleaned from him was that he is very opinionated, one sided and quite repetitive in his methodology. I haven't come away with the impression that he is uninformed on his topics. Nor do I get the impression that his basic facts are off base. Whether you agree with him or not, I don't think you can say that he's a moron. Unless you use the word moron as a spurious insult.

I'd say the "basics" on any war are, where and when it took place and who was fighting who. I don't think that's too much to ask if you're going to start pontificating about it.

I learnt about the Vietnam war from history books, university lectures and documentary films.

I don't know who Sally Jesse Raphael is and I've only ever hear of Coulter on this board. What little I've seen of Coulter in links made me feel that she belongs on Jerry Springer.
