I thought all Opera users had been banned from the Internets.

Searching for "asylum on interweb" points to some "Three Kings Llc" in Brooklyn.

It's still in Beta. I'm sure they'll eventually chart Clogland.

They will have to code in elevations below sea level first.

As far as Gmail goes, I read something about changing the way Opera identifies itself, then once you've logged in, you can apparently set gmail to fuck off about browsers, and then after that, it works fine with opera.

This is only something I vaguely remember reading, I don't use gmail so I really don't give that much of a shit, so I can't vouch for it, but a bit of googling, or maybe checking the opera forums will be helpful.

Fucking idiots.

With opera identifying itself as IE6 Google maps works, sorta. It's glitchy as hell though, (at least for me). It kinda sucks that Opera has to have a method of pretending to be other browsers as it's a kickass bit of software in it's own right.

As for Gmail, I'm not interested in it one bit. The security and privacy implications of it are mindboggling to say the least.

From looking at it's homepage it looks to be going strong. I notice they have articles on multiple browser versions. One even mentions a partnership with IBM to produce a "multimodal" browswer that allows access to cars, pdas, DVD's, and TV's using your voice in addition to standard methods.

Probably dying. The current stats seem to indicate Firefox is munching up it's share of the market.

More like changing it's market, Opera recently became the web browser for a number of cellphones because of the speed and small screen rendering they've developed.

Despite this, they do not have a verson for Windows CE or the Palm OS, which frustrates me endlessly.
