for a doctor, the greatest achievement you can achieve is to discover a new disease.

thats why when a doctor is lucky enough to discover one, he very enthusiastically diagnoses it in all of his patients.

this was the case for one particular doctor who was also known for his short temper.
when a colleague who was envious of his achievement pointed out to him that he couldnt just diagnose EVERY patient with this new disease - he became furious.

"who are you to tell me what i can or can not do?" he asked.
"its unethical!" claimed the envious doctor.

at this point the short tempered doctor grabbed the envious doctor by his jacket and tossed him out the window.
the injured doctor was quickly rushed to the emergency room, where the short tempered doctor treated him...
and quickly diagnosed him with that new disease he had discovered.

luckily, though he had broken many bones in the accident, the envious doctors sense of irony was intact. and so he was able to fully appreciate the situation.

Sea lions are fat and they lay around all day crying like babies.

There's a buoy (bouy?) just outside the breakwater where my brother keeps his boat- It's essentially a floating cage. Sea lions pile up to sunbathe and every now and then the cage door closes so scientists can boat out and study the sea lions.

The other day we were sailing back after finishing a race and we passed pretty close the buoy. The sea lions all made angry sea lion noises (they sound like a dog burping mid-bark). Yes. They smell. BAD. We were probaby 40 or 50 feet away and we could smell them quite clearly.

I recently had an MRI of my c-spine to try to determine the source of pain I have in my right arm. The radiologist of 25 years experience noticed a bright spot in the gray matter of my spinal column. He showed it to his colleagues who all agreed that they had never seen anything like it in all their years looking at MRI's. So they sent the images to some hot shit at Case Western who is supposed to know something about these things. Meanwhile, my right arm still burns like hell from time to time. Nutrimentia would recall, though, that this whole medical phenomena probably has its origins from a fantastically fortunate aerobatic truck wreck somewhere between milepost 35 and 36 of I-90 just east of Seattle.
