Thanks guys.

Worst thing is now I have a record and second due to a "clerical error" my license is suspended till monday, possibly thurs, rather than just being restricted.
Which is incredible to me. It would seem reasonable to expect that people who have so much power over your life exercise care, or that errors made on matters like this be somewhat simple and efficient to remedy.

This is good news, except for the cavity search. But you probably get that at home (if not, I'll do it for you at the next pissup). How long does the technical DUI last on the record? I wonder if you would be able to petition to get it struck in a few months? Might cost you a month's salary in lawyer fees, but it might be nice to have done.

Regardless, I'm glad you get to stay home and you came out of this as clean as possible. Good luck in avoiding such circumstances in the future.
