Civilised countries that have a traditional mother's day already had it several weeks ago, of course.

And celebrated it by sending their mother a card, from the bargain rack at the local newsagents, sent in a pre-paid(and appropriate logo'd up) envelope stolen from work.

I called my momma and wished her a happy mothers day, the first time in 23 years.
That was cool.
And I got a most awesome card from Sammy complete with a pic and story, I'll treasure them.

*I look nothing like that,btw

my family generally doesn't do presents on mother's/father's day, either.
Brett got me some flowers.
Keith brought home a little plant they made(potted and watered, I guess) at school for their mothers.
Also-- a really funny card that has a picture he drew of the two of us holding hands and that says the following:
quote:
Dear Mom,
You are smart. You have the colour of my skin and brown hair. You are twenty-seven years old. You are pregnant. You are an adult, too!
Happy Mother's Day!
Love, Keith
We didn't do much yesterday, really. Just went out for ice cream last night and had family time all day.
I got my own mother a card, as well as called her, and gave her a picture that Keith drew of all of us(Me, Brett, Keith, Camille, my brother, and my mom). My step-mother also got a card and phone call.

Do not be deceived. That must be a work desk in her office - her home computer desk in no slightest way resembles that.
