Wasn't this well known by everyone about 3 years ago? Microsoft used to be "more evil than Satan" and there was a good one about "Weapons of Mass Destruction" for a while too.

My god. We should call this 'an old "google-bomb"' or something. Quick, someone do one for 'weapons of mass destruction'.

Bah, nute gave the game away on 'weapons of mass destruction' six short minutes before me.

French military victories? I saw a book titled that once, and it was just full of blank pages.

Of course, history tends to ignore the accomplishments of the Corps Expeditionary Francais (CEF) during the Italian campaign of WWII when French units utterly outperformed US and British Divisions that they served alongside (often accusing US armoured forces of being 'shy' to close with the enemy) Indeed, it was French troops under one of the best Generals of WWII (Gen Alphonse Juin) who were consistently the best allied troops during the Cassino battles and who effectively won the 4th Battle of Cassino thereby breaking the deadlock. And their campaign in Indochina, if ultimately unsuccessful, was stuffed full of innumerable examples of superb tactical actions and independent para brigade actions deep in the jungle, culminating with an heroic stand at Dien Bien Phu.

Read your fucking history, guys.

Heh. Reminds me of the morning of my French History exam. For those of you that don't know me and my studies (everyone but dat, I guess), I get extremely stressed out before exams. I was just about ready to pull out my hair, ready to cry, and repeating dates over and over again when our Co-Op cook, Wanda, came over to me and asked what I was studying.

I said "Oh good. You're a history major! You can help me!"
"What are you studying?"
"The history of France"
"When in doubt, just say that they surrendered"

(true story)

The French are lovers, not fighters.

They had the metric system in the 1700's btw. Not to suggest that the US are a bunch of backward savages or anything, heaven forbid.

They just invented it because 16 km/hr versus 10 mph gave them the impression that they were fleeing faster.
