We're now about half way into 2005. What have you done so far.

I've got engaged, brought a house and passed my driving test. I've finally saved enough money to build myself a new computer but now have to spend the money rewiring the new house. I've had sex about 30 times, and gone to the gym about the same number. I've lost a few pounds, but nothing significant. I figure I need to eat less and have more sex.

I had a small payrise, but every little helps. I have brought myself an X-Box and its pretty disapointing. I intend to convert it to a mailserver or MP3 jukebox or something when i've finished Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I went ice skating for the first time in my life. I also went snowboarding for a week in Italy, where I learnt a little italian and seventy four ways to fall on my ass. My fiance broke both her wrists, so I also got to sample the italian medical service, which was not bad at all.

Been to the theatre once, and the cinema a mere 10 times. I've read 23 books and really enjoyed less than half of them. I went to my brothers wedding, for which I purchased a new suit. I discovered I just look like a fucking bouncer in a suit, so I'm probably going to get married in jeans and a t-shirt.

I'm celebrating my 25th birthday on sunday by having a quiet beer at home in front of a DVD from amazons DVD rental service that I signed up to the other day. High-octane living.

So what have you been up to?

Well, having no car certainly obviates the need to know how to drive. Kudos on your accomplishments. My favorite accomplishment so far this year is being half a year closer to getting Enron the fuck out of the house.

I never got my liscence until I was 25, for the same reason.
This year- I have taken some classes, gone to archaeology field school, turned 39, read more books than I can count, had sex many times, went to the colorado pissup, initiated a relationship with an editor for a paying market, shot and cut a lot of useless video. I have also spent a lot of time slaving in the yard and parenting my 2 sons. Next week I plan to complete the crappy novella I've been writing for the last year. Week after that i am on vacation and i will spend the time building sets for a cheezy Sci Fi short my best friend and I are making. Quite a satisfactory year so far.

9) Smoked on the average 1/2 a pack a day (so about 90 packs)
10)Masturbated about 20-30 times on top of the sex
11)Got pulled over by the cops once (just a warning for an illegal turn)
12)Drove on the average of 65 miles/day for work (so over 8,000 miles)
13)Read the forum on the average 30 minutes/day (so over 90 hours)
14)Watched TV about 3 hours/day average (over 540 hours)
15)Read 8 books and enjoyed 5 of them
16)Browsed either The New York Post or The New York Times 6 days/week
17)Took about 170 showers (-10 showers due to sickness/lazy days)
18)Listen to music at least 2 hours/day (so at least 360 hours so far)
19)Use my wrist strengthener at least 100 times each hand daily (3,800)
...so on and so forth...time to work (my 137th day this year)

I'm closer this year to figuring my life out. Going to go visit my momma this weekend for a bit and then I'll be deciding to move closer to her or not.
I do plan on getting married. and I wish to maybe have another child but that is on the back burner for now. I need to get my life more settled.

Let's see...

I got accepted to USC Law School with a full scholarship.
I've worked in a crappy retail job while waiting to go to school.
I've played tons and tons of WoW.
I've visited Vyper and Phorbie in Virginia.
I've taught myself to solve a Rubik's Cube.
I've read about 10-15 books, and reread twice that many.
I've downloaded and watched many, many hours of anime.
All in all, I've almost totally wasted half a year.

I'm planning to hurl myself out of a plane for my next birthday, which is a milestone I never intended to nor imagined in my wildest dreams I'd ever see. Problem is, I'm deathly afraid of heights. I like to force myself to face my fears. Should be interesting. It'll give me some perspective, no doubt.
