Some folks just ain't easily breakable. Others break their wrists when someone throws a baby pumpkin at them (true story). I'm a huge pussy, and I've yet to break a bone, in spite of all the times I should have (9 falls from horses, some thrown into fences and trees -- car accidents that smooshed the car but not me -- etc.). Drink lots of milk?

you and me both, brother.

What I do is not really rock climbing, more like hiking steep trails, several of my friends like nothing better than to crawl up vertical cliffs (this includes the GF). I can hold a safety rope, and perform basic first aid (as well as deliver excrutiating anatomical anecdotes if anyone suffers an open fracture).

I do want to get my first aid skills honed further after this event.

I worked at a warehouse once. I fell off a ladder like 5 or 6 feet high. I landed on my back. Everyone ran over to me. I was cracking up. They didn't think it was funny. I thought it was funny. I wanted to do it again. They wouldn't let me.
