Thanks, guys. I feel better.
You ask a glass of water what it's like to be drunk...as in consumed by mouth. Teleportation must be like having someone drink you, i.e. being drunk.
Took me twenty years. It is a reasonably clever play on words.

Fish is a brain food
That is said to never fail
I therefore recommend
That you should eat a whale.

But a whale is a mammal. Not a fish. That Valentine is a failure.

I often miss jokes and ideas. One of the reasons I enjoy rereading books and rewatching movies/shows/etc. as much as I do is because I will often "get" something the second time through that I didn't grasp the first. If not, well, the good stuff I go back to over and over again...

... I just read that without reading the above post, and I thought it was another joke. I puzzled over it for about 5-10 minutes before I realized what you were talking about.

I've tried not to think too much about it, it feels dangerous in the Lovecraftian sense.

As for you, LF, the trois is a very rare carnivorous tree from Madagascar. I think Ignatz was making an allusion to being consumed by a vicious toothed plant in reference to Funkyrooster's proposition.
Er...no, sorry. I'm lying. "Menage a trois" refers to a carnal threesome.
