[p]s. Respect the TT.
I've mostly been playing Final Fantasy XI (SOMEONE IN JAPAN HATES ME) and In The Groove 2. Why are arcades replacing their DDR machines with this shit?

There is pvp. Even looks like a tourney going on at the moment. That said, FF is mostly based around teamwork. Stick with yer WoW for pwning a server full of 14-year-old boys in battlegrounds.
FFXI is the best mmo but I can't really reccomend it to others because it's a massive timesink and grind.

Incidentally, I just spent 120 hours or so replaying Final Fantasy X. I've never been into the franchise really (just never got around to it), so it's really the only one I've played to any extent, but I'm willing to call it maybe the best console game ever. People that have followed it in order say VII, but X for me.
I just recently bought "The Movies", because I've been in the hunt for a great movie-making sim since I was like 14, and have yet to find one. This one is okay, but more like The Sims, in a movie studio instead of a neighborhood, and with some kinda cool movie-making stuff tacked on.

If you liked Deus Ex and you've never played any of the Thief series and you like the idea of the format (i.e. thinking your way through things vs. blasting your way) minus the high tech shit in Deus Ex, try them out.

For me, this had extremely limited replay value. The moviemaking element is pretty limited, and the mogul aspect involves way too much unrealistic "watering" of relationships and the like.

Yeah, the latter is especially annoying. I'm still kicking it around, but it's kind of like a C- The Sims, just with an additional little movie thing, and much less flexibility.

Friend told me yesterday that Westwood (or whoever it is now) will be releasing all of them in a compilation sometime soon for $40.
My favorite was RA2 evil Russian style. Followed closely behind by TS and Generals. Do you mostly play the missions or against other people? I still have yet to win a multiplayer match online.

X3 is excellent, but the X2 add-ons make it a little more fun.
