please keep us posted. I hope it's something minor, like too much buttsex has led to too many orgasms . . . anyway, take care and take your crabbiness out on meena.

Yikes, bunkum. I'm glad you've got a neurologist caring for you, it does sound like some sort of neurological problem.
I'll hope for something temporary and trivial. Good luck!

Best of luck to you. Keep us posted, and I really hope it's nothing major or permanent.

I'll try to arrange to have it witnessed -- otherwise, what good is dying in a funny way if you never get to hear about it?
butt sex + horseshoe crabs = fun
Anyway, off to fiddle with my cane and order up some dinner. Just got the Firefly series on DVD, and am currently rewatching. :- )

I've been wanting to see that, before seeing the movie. It's worth it?

Yes, in fact the series by and large, is far better than the movie.

Someone I know was having these same issues. He had been on blood pressure medicine, the same kind for quite a bit, come to find out that was what was causing his dizziness, etc.
No doubt your doc's will figure it out for you.
I hope you're ok.

Thanks, everyone -- good wishes much appreciated. I have another trip to the neurologist on Dec. 6, and have been feeling gradually a bit better, on a day-to-day basis. Working on balance exercises to find a new center of gravity, and went quite a bit without a cane today. Yay! Headaches and weakness and nausea are still a bitch, but it could be worse. Hoping it's just something in the inner ear bones or somesuch, since that'd likely be cheaper to treat than the #1 culprit.

I think so. Or some of the bluegill traveled up my buttstream into my brain. Dingle and CAL are sooooo dead if that's what it is.

Update:
They've ruled out M.S., stroke, brain cancer -- all good things to rule out. Yet the VEP (visual evoked potential) came back a bit fucked (though no signs of lesions on the ocular nerves -- yay!), and I still walk like a drunken cracker without a cane. Neurologist questioned me as to when it's worse (gets worse the longer I stand, walk, am awake, etc.), and thought it might well be something called myasthenia gravis. Basically, an auto-immune disorder. It's funny to think about one's body saying, "Hey, you don't belong. Wait, I AM you. I challenge you to a duel!"
Just ran through some bloodwork last week to rule out lupus and rheumatoid arthritis (??? the symptoms just DON'T match), as well as to test for MG. Problem is, the blood test is only 80 - 90% reliable. So I may have to go through a test that fucks around with a single nerve strand; they test the nerve, first, then inject me with more weird shit. If the shit helps my nerves respond more quickly, they'll scratch their chins, sigh, make significant glances, and write some shit down on a piece of paper I don't want to see.
Thing is ... I've had to do a lot of the research myself. I don't fault my neurologist. We're in a lawsuit-happy area, and it's hard to keep specialists, much less generalists, here in business. He is the sole neurologist for my small city. He's very kind, very patient -- but terribly overworked. He barely had a chance to look at my chart before he saw me. When he was about to write a scrip for migraines -- the differential diagnosis -- I said, "Wait, do migraines impair your balance and walking and everything , almost 2 months beyond an initial migraine attack?" He said, "No," and scheduled me for more tests. The nice thing is that he doesn't resent my questions -- I feel lucky, there.
I just feel bad that the guy is so overworked like this. He obviously feels obligated to see everybody, often, and to keep track of everyone's progress -- we move through the waiting room quickly, and we generally get new appointments within 2 weeks (very good, as far as I'm concerned). But there should be another neuro in this city who can help deal with the load. I hate to see someone who's obviously smart and caring being embarrassed by the lack of time to exercise their talents.

Heh, bunkum, in the midst of what would be to most a rather frightening experience, feels bad for her doctor because he doesn't have enough time for her.
Good to know your brain isn't rotting out though muknub, now I have to go try and figure out why mysasthenia gravis is ringing some chime in my brain.
