I'm looking through Yahoo News, and I see the following headline:

"Kansas Researchers Head for Antarctica"

Being a Lovecraft fan, the first thing that came to my mind was "Wow. Now that shows integrity in Intelligent Design theories. They don't restrict it to creationism--they acknowledge the possibility that the 'intelligent designer' was, in fact, a race of semi-vegetable crinoid beings from space dwelling near the Mountains of Madness, who created terrestrial life accidentally in the process of experimenting with proto-Shoggoths, and who were in turn eradicated by the Flying Polyps from the unlighted, whispered depths of N'kai, where Great Tsathogghua rolls squelchily in the abyss to the thin sounds of accursed flutes. Ia! Ia!"

Proponents of intelligent design should all read Lovecraft, I think.
