When I first started coming here and lurking around in late 2002 and early 2003 it seemed that this place was larger than life. There were awesome topics and meaningful discussions it seemed. An old friend from Texas had suggested that I join and participate, I started trying to be a part of this place. I think the first discussion I took part in was this debate about the latest Space Shuttle disaster and the apparent mis-management of the entire Shuttle program by NASA from the very beginning. There are (were) some very intelligent people who frequented this place and had volumes to speak about numerous subjects, I was not one of them but greatly enjoyed reading what others had to write on given topics. It was a real treat to see this place when it was like that. Then the mega posters started arriving and it turned into a melee of vulgar insults, one liners, and meaningless fodder. There's enough of that in the real world, so that makes coming here pretty much an act of futility......no substance. It's not even mildly entertaining anymore.

I can't think of a better time to leave this online disaster than right now.
