It's come to our attention there's a significant increase in alts and newly registered mystery members voting heavily in the polls, compared to those in the past. While this is all in fun, it would be nice if the results somehow reflected a fair reading of the actual membership.

You'll be seeing a decrease in the vote count. Rest assured there's no "fixing" going on - I'm not included in the tourney anyhow. You can debate, as you like, the propriety of doing it now and not in the past, or even doing it at all.

Does anybody really take the tournament this seriously (besides Lanin)? I mean both the alt votes and the concern about alt votes tainting the final results.

I would be curious to know who was getting the heavy alt vote, I guess. If I was paying attention to the returns it'd be easy to figure out.
