I listened to the announcement from Bombay on NPR day before yesterday. Almost 70,000 feet. That is way the fuck up there.
That's a touch higher than I have flown. My personal record is just under 17,000 ft, which isn't much compared to a lot of other balloon pilots.

Yeah, I caught it on NPR as well. I listen to NPR daily.

17,000 in an open basket still had to be pretty cool.
