In the last day and a half we got nailed with about 20 inches of snow and it isn't quiting. Yup, still snowing as I speak.... Anyway, I'm standing out on the porch having a smoke when Harrison the Cat walks up to me and says "meow?" I stroke his head and give his ears a scratch and then he says "Purrrrrr?" So I pick him up and pet him like most anyone would pet their kitty. Yeah, he's a friendly cat. So I'm standing there, petting the cat and I look at the deep snow. I pitch Harrison right out in the middle of it. Hee hee. All I can see is about an inch of his tail sticking up. He pops his head outta the snow to give me a dirty cat look and meowls at me then hops strait up about three feet. Hop, hop, hop.... Every time he landed he disappeared under the fluffy whiteness. He looked like Frosty the Snowcat when he made it to the porch.. I did that a few more times then let him in to dry and fed him a can of tuna for payment of entertaining me.

I’d never do that to my cat or to any living thing for that matter. My cat’s like my second daughter.

I’m a gook, but I’ve never eaten dog or cat in my life. As a matter of fact, the vast majority of Koreans don’t eat cat. I saw my neighbors slaughtering dog a several times when I was a child though.

dog is good meat, and low priced. i see nothing wrong with it. as for things to do to/with a cat....ever tried kitten bowling? you need 3 or 4 kittens old enough to be navigating under their own power, but young enough to fit in a large man's cupped hands. you need a slippery piece of tile or vinyl floor. you need a certain willingness to skid a kitten across the floor with enough force to knock another kitten off his/her feet when they impact. and some quickness, because they tend to try to leave when they get the idea.

You are a poor excuse for a gook. I wouldn't have a problem eating kitty or pooch. I just haven't got that hungry yet. The difference betwixt pets and food is, how hungry are you? Nothing like a little starvation to make pooch go from pet to lunch.

Carnivore meat is often nasty. I'd much rather eat vegetarian animals. Although I'm pretty sure I had dog meat pinchitos when I was in Spain. Maybe cat. But they marinate the things so well it could be rat and you'd probvably not know the difference.

Eh, after seeing my parents' cat torment my dog, just to get her to chase her, I believe that cats actually *like* to be teased. She goes out of her way to smack my dog's feet when she's asleep; dog wakes up, chases cat, cat hides, cat returns for a stare-down.

Hell, animals in a pack pick on each other in a similar manner. And domesticated animals can get so bored indoors that a little teasin' will make them feel like they're, well, animals again. My dog sometimes comes up to harass me when she's bored, so then I'll play tug-of-war with her, take her for a walk, wrestle, whatever. Whenever she's teasing, her tail is always wagging. And when my parents had two cats, they'd go out of their way to pick on each other as well.

SLH recently acquired a 6 month old kitten. He also acquired a laser pointer. Almost every evening she comes racing thru the apt and tries to get the pointer, won't stop till he gets it out and lets her chase the red dot for about 15 minutes.

I don't think I would throw any of my cats into several feet of snow, but I would piss myself laughing if I saw one of them fall in!! It depends on the strength and temperament of your cat though.

I would put a sock on Mr Haze's head, but not for long. I stuck tins of tuna and forks onto Lucky's magnetic collar. And I stuck tape to Penn's fur! But I would never have done anything to Sheba cos she was too nervous and delicate for anything like that!
