I just use noscript, for the most part. I've got some weird chinese/japanese character translator extension, but I've never tested it out, so I don't know what to think of it.

I just grabbed bugmenot from Hawley's link, but I didn't see much need for the others.

I never really found a point to bbcode, unless you're forgetful. I could invariably type the the tags faster than selecting them from a context menu.

NoScript will prevent all popups(unless you whitelist the site). AdBlock will catch most popup scripts(although I've seen it miss a few), but also gets rid of most advertising iframes, blocks, images, etc.

Running both is best, especially once you've whitelisted most of your regular sites in NoScript.
