i thought i d give the whole pay for download music thing a go and i ended up with a wmd file that i can not play in media player.. well the first song of the album plays and thats it .. media player just crashes.

i learned my leasson and will rather pirate music again if a fucking media player file that wont play is the result.

please help me salvage my 18$ and point me in the direction of a program that converts wmd files into aything useful.

Those WMA files are DRM protected, yo. You'll have to make an audio CD and then rip from there. Unless you don't mind breaking teh law.

sadly the album is just one wmd file .. ~40mb

burning to cd is a good idea though i ll give that a go

what the fuck program are you using to pay for your music? if you want to pay for it then try using iTunes, at least they let you burn it. If you want it free and don't care about burning the files, then use iMesh, it is completely legal but all the files are DRM protected so you cant burn them or copy them.
