Ok, I'm not sure if you guys do this type of thing, but I just thought I'd throw it out here. My laptop needs some serious help..because I'm on the verge of throwing out my window. First of all, I'm a computer terminology virgin, and I apologize in advance for that.

I keep getting the blue screen of death, with the error message stating that it's been caught in an infinite loop..and then lists the bad file as being ati2dvag.
Some graphics thing is all I've come up with so far.

Some basics about this pos
Toshiba laptop, running XP home edition
Intel Celeron 2.8 GHz
198 MB of RAM
ATI mobility Radeon 7000 IGP

not sure what else is needed, but any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried updating your video card drivers? I'd suggest starting there.

Are you doing something in particular when it comes up? Or is it random?

No, where would I go to do that?
And no, it seems to be random..about every 15-20 minutes, no matter what I'm doing.

Well, your video card's software might have a program you can run that will download updated drivers for you. If not, go here: https://support.ati.com/ics/support...amp;folderID=27

Well, I "fixed" the problem..then a week ago, my fiance is on it and it dies. The screen is now shattered within the squishy protective covering and the keyboard is smashed in. So he bought us a new one..woohoo!
