The thing to remember is, it is the externally visible that matters in this world. She acted without your consent, you reacted in self-defense. As you describe yourself, I picture a "Victim-in-waiting" - a person who is subject to the unwanted attentions of every would be dominator around. If that is true, vigilance is necessary and appropriate.

I would have done the same thing, except that I would have called the police right afterwards. I tend to attract unwanted gestures and such myself, and I'm just frankly too sick of it to care much what the other person is feeling. All I know is that they've either grabbed me inappropriately or touched me in some other nasty way, or that they're following me and talking strangely to me.

I guess I'm not following why you feel bad? You're not here for her pleasure, much less anyone else's.
