Is there a way to stop emails "disappearring" when tranferring a domain name from one host to another?

Depending on what you pay, and who performs the service, they will cache your email then forward to the new addy when it propagates.

Turns out, after some rather misguided phonecalls, that there wasn't any web hosting at all, just a "business mail account", so we're not going to touch that, and to save any possible confusion have decided to register the domain name with a brand spanking ".eu" extension. ( or whatever that last bit is called )
