problem with outlook 2000, browser
the last few days we've been having problems printing out e-mails from one computer at work that runs win 98 and outlook 2000.
it seems that all the incoming e-mail in the last few days is coming in in HTML format. we can't print these. When you go to print, or hit the print icon, there isn't even a box that pops up for you to specify any printing choices.
okay, so that's problem number one.
then this morning i thought i'd send this computer a test e-mail from my yahoo acct and when i go to access it, a screen pops up and says "IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS PAGE YOUR BROWSER SETTINGS PREVENT YOU FROM AUTOMATICALLY REDIRECTING TO A NEW URL" then it takes me to yahoo, but i can't compose a message. i can view them, but not compose.
so...here's the changes in the last few days.
1. norton antivirus expired, and i decided to reorder a physical copy of it from costco. in the interim i thought i'd try another free antivirus, so i dl and installed kasperky. from the get go, i had problems with it, so i uninstalled it and tried AVG.
2. AVG scanned and said it found 3 viruses, but they appeared to be more spyware than viruses. AVG quarantined them.
3. Also ran adaware and got rid of some spyware.
4. one guy in the office is bad luck larry when it comes to computers. he uses this workstation alot and it's entirely possible that he jacked something up without knowing it.
5. thinking that the problem might be related to AVG, i uninstalled it this morning. no changes to the problem.
any ideas on what's going on or how i can fix it?
thanks
