Technology problems with hd widescreen tv

Hey guys!
While watching a dvd Friday night, the actors went from colour to green and red.. it's a toshiba widescreen.. over 40"..
would it be the wiring?
before it was just the tv and dvds were fine.. then the tv was returned and this is the new one (different television altogether). Everything was unplugged and plugged back in.. that didn't work either..
the tv shows come up in colour but not the dvds yet I know it is not the player..

any ideas?

We have a 62 inch widescreen. The first time we plugged it in it was green to red too. I believe my hubby went to the menu then adjusted the colors from there and stored it in the memory. I do believe he did the same with the dvd player also, but he's not here so I can't ask for sure. Sorry, hope it helps, I don't know much about tv's.

Do you know what kind of cable you're using to connect the DVD player to the TV?

If your using a SCART lead for the TV reciever, it could be that one of the wires inside has come loose or off altogether. Try changing the SCART lead, if you're using one.

I don't think they use SCART in Canada. I've guessing the leads are component(3 wires bunched together) or, if the TV is fairly new, an HDMI lead. If it is component, then one of the wires could well be broken/bad.

Switch the three coax wires or whatever to another set of three inputs, preferably the input where you need to switch to video when your watching your DVD. Don't directly connect it so that when you play a DVD it automatically switches like it would if you had a VCR attached. Some tv's have it set up like that cause the video inputs have like special filters and shit. If that dosen't work, smack it.

And those expensive "gold" wires are worth their weight. The cheapo's don't cut it especially with high definition.
