The City of Beaumont probably will not take personal checks. Any money I send to my friends in prison has to be in the form of postal money orders, so they may have a similar rule in Beaumont.

The fact that he's in Beaumont pretty much explains the rest, however.

That, and the fact that he drinks at the truck stop.

Oh, and that he can't change his own oil.
