They live in an apartment, I think, so I guess that they're OK. I've seen the house that they used to live in (her mother's house) and that's on a hill, so that's probably OK too.

More worryingly, there's a depression in my yard that collects water, that the builder is going to come back and sort out.

I am going for the 'they didn't level it out properly, even though I told them at the time that it didn't look levelled out properly' option.

The house is built on rock. We ought to be OK unless the salt mine has extended a lot farther than they are supposed to have.
