I'VE JUST GOTTEN OVER THE MOTHER OF ALL HANGOVERS FROM THE WEEKEND . I'VE TRIED A FEW THINGS BUT NOTHING WOULD SHAKE IT OFF, AND JUST HAD TO STICK IT OUT ON THE COUCH. IT WAS BAD BELIEVE ME .
AS THE WEEKEND FAST APPROACHES ONCE AGAIN, I WAS WONDERING WETHER ANYBODY HAD ANY GOOD REMEDIES FOR THESE MENACES?

Realize that a hangover is an effect of specific causes. You will have to change the circumstances behind those causes if you want a different effect.

For example, reduced consumption, at a minimum. Improve quality of consumed beverages as well as increase intake of hydration during the inebriation session. A reasonable amount of sleep under comfortable circumstances will help as well.

But don't think that you can drink a case of keystone between 9 and midnight and wake up spiffy.

Drink lots of water before going to bed. Dehydration is a big contributor to the development of a hangover. Also, the water helps to flush the acetaldehyde toxin (which your kidneys' enzymes convert the alcohol into) out of your system.

Try sugar water. I have heard it said that sugar counteracts the acetaldehydes. Maybe that is why some people swear by ginger ale and such.

My dear old uncle used to drink two raw eggs in half a pint of milk,whisked up, first thing in the mornig. There was something else in there as well, salt sugar or pepper, i can't remember which one. I do remember trying to drink it once though....bad idea....it doesn't look good as wallpaper!
