URL: File Protocol

Ok, I've been trying to figure this out for, like ever now


I've got this problem with a couple files on my computer.

I reformatted my computer and 1 folder got converted to a "URL: File Protocol" and the other got converted to File type "File"I can't change them back nor open them.

They had a bunch of pictures, text files, program file set-ups, not to mention numbers of friends and family i've not talked to in forever.

If there is anything anyone can do for me, I will be forever indebted to you.

Thanks in advance for whatever help I get with this problem.

You did notice that you were asking for technical help from people claiming to be inmates of an asylum, right?

Yeah, I do notice that, but other people have gotten help so I kind of figured that I could as well.

I mean, what's the point in even having a technical section if people aren't going to help with technical stuff...
