My granddad called button whizzers "zoozackers". My sisters and I have been trying to find his old box of buttons for fourteen years.
I believe it is poke sallet.

Poke Salad, foobs. It's growin all over the farm. The berries stain my arms purple late in the season when I brush against them goin down the fenceline on my tractor.

My kids are grown and flown, and so amuse themselves by being stupid in ways I didn't allow at home.
But, when they did live at home, one of their greatest sources of amusement and recreation was the small herd of goats I'd purchased when they'd made the mistake of complaining of boredom. heh I worked long shifts and a lot of extra days - plus took extra call, so wasn't around to see a whole lot of the antics, but I remember being highly amused by a frantic phonecall I took one afternoon.

"With a .22," was my immediate reply.
