Hardy fuckin' har har. I should be snuggly sheltered in my basement with my dogs, my wife and my DDR, but some frickin' winker pussy at work called in sick today, so I'm pulling their shift and their call.

Ultimately, though, it was having too many living relatives in Montana. If you read my horsewreck post you know I ranched and trapped for a good long while on the Marias River. My wife's an RN, so when God's Country soured on me we moved to a town with a college (Oregon Institute of Technology) and I looked in their catalog for something else to do. Medical Imaging didn't look too tough, and I figured we'd always be able to find work.

K Falls, eh? Talk about a podunk town in the middle of nowhere. Do the Indians thereabouts still get their annual allotment checks and spend all of it within 30 days or so, or did the gov't finally start breaking them up into monthly checks?

Klamath Falls was a big town by the time I got there. Certainly the largest I'd ever stopped in for longer than it takes to gas up my truck. The Klamaths and Modocs stayed up around Chiloquin and weren't seen in the city much at all.

What a hugely varied and different environment it was for a Montana boy. The greenbug clouds were as stunning to me as Crater Lake. heh I've never seen road-killed deer as thick along the road shoulders there are on the roads leading into Klamath Falls, or woodsmoke from people's stoves so choking thick in winter that you have to drive with your headlights on during the day, either.

Podunk is a relative term, I would imagine. heh In fact, now that you mention it, I think I'll try and google up an origin and an official definition.

Heh, Klamath Falls and Coos Bay are the only two places in Oregon I have any familiarity with.
K Falls has to be the redneck capital of the Pacific northwest. That place is a hole.
