I would have had to breathe into a bag - to steady my hand so I could shoot my miserable self. I saw an opera once. I still bear the scars.

But, I'm glad you dig it.

Tal, your summary was amazing, and very funny.

It almost had me wanting to go see it, only... not.

I went to one of them fancy operas where everyone wore a suit because I got free tickets. I fell asleep and started snoring loudly. Wife woke me up and I yelled. "YEA YEA I KNOW!"
Then all fell silent. I laughed. She got embarrased.
We never did that again.
I am teh awesome.

What does it mean when I really don't appreciate writings and opera and things that will feed your intellec?

Does that make me kinda trashy?

No.

It means you are not a self-important pretentious fop.

Opera never fed anyone's intellect beyond grade school level. So LF might still benefit from opera.

Actually, opera, like most theater, can be entertaining if viewed as what it is - bad acting, and piss poor music, for the most part. It is entertaining in the same sense that watching staged car crashes is.

Careful, or some fag will make a car crash opera. Remember the wheelchairs!

I am unsurprised by that, given the demonstrated biases you both share.

"Art" is in the eye of the beholder, the ear of the listener. My opinion on art is infinitely more valid, to me, than any opinion on the same subject matter you, or any other pretentious twit, may express.

That's for when SS discloses what biases we share.

No need to do so. Both of you flaunt them.

The funny thing being that SS and I share a bias against opera.
