can someone explain to me the advantage of mailing a cd versus posting it online? i'm sure there are many i just can't think of them right now.

Agreed. The CD Nute sent last year was a tangible token of his sincere interest in raising my taste in music.

God Bless'm.

But honestly I haven't been captivated by that much anticipation of a post, except when I stopped direct deposit of my paycheck.

It's just nice to receive something from someone who actually put effort into a project and then bestows it upon you.
So, while our tastes are rarely the same , and you may receive something you are not be currently able to resonate with, I'd be willing to do it again this year.

It is fairly amusing that the staunch defenders of this idea haven't signed up for it.

I've done it twice and it's mildly entertaining at best. I've had better experiences exchanging CD with other members privately.
