It was that! Many times at supper Dad would say something like, "We are moving to XXXX in the morning. You need to go early to school and turn your books in and see if they will give you a report card." Whether I got the card or not we moved and then I had to sweet talk the principal of the new school about class placement, etc. But it was fun.
