I'm moving tomorrow.

Tomorrow we make a 2,000 mile trek halfway across the country, from Orlando FL to Boulder CO. Thankfully, we're shipping our stuff, though perhaps upon arrival we won't be so thankful. Whatever, we don't have to drive a huge gas guzzling truck for 3 days.

Bethany will be taking her car and the cat and I'll be taking my car and the computers. We bought walkie-talkies and I'm really looking forward to using them! Breaker breaker 1-9. Roger good buddy!

Anyway, thought I'd share. Boulder, Boulder, Boulder! It really whips the llama's ass.

Do yourselves a favor. Go north to Atlanta, then turn west. Interstate 10 is a godawfuk mess, and I-20 is carrying a volume of truck traffic diverted from 10 that is quite incredible. As a consequence, it is torn all to hell, and there are long stretches of it that are one slow moving lane die to ongoing repairs.

We're going up to Knoxville Tennessee first to visit the in-laws. Then back roads to St. Louis. We might hit the superslab after, but we'll head off again in Kansas, then back on through CO.

I saw more of that in Berkeley than in Boulder, although it exists in both places, and is not at all limited to "kids". One thing about CU is that a lot of the students that one would think have money, don't really have any at all. most of the students that I know are completely broke and/or working shit jobs just to eat. As far as the audi driving counter culture types, I'm sure there are some, but I've never met any, all my friends, hippy or otherwise, ride the bus.

We're here. I took a lot of driving pictures. Middle America is beautiful. The wind in Kansas was totally insane. We're at the hotel waiting to meet our new landlord. I won't have internet until tomorrow. This was an awesome drive.
