I've considered that as a possibility for years. They've done experiments with rats where overcrowding resulted in higher rates of rat homosexuality.

I don't think that homosexuality as a natural limiting factor for population is a ridiculous notion. It makes sense to me.

Big cities are chock full of queers and rats.

around 1 AD there were only 300 million people on earth.
