That's because San Francisco was **pulverized**. The Bush Admin went back in time and planted TNT in all the buildings.
And I dare you to find the plane wreckage. IT'S NOT THERE! Meaning......

If you ever get command of the English language, PNG, you may be an entertaining commentator. Right now though, I haven't a clue to what you are trying to say.

the photo which starts this thread strongly reminds me of aerial shots of hiroshima in late august of 1945.

With the price of housing in San Fran, prolly the niggers stole the bricks in order to enter the property market.

Nice photo.
So you are telling me that this:
Was attached to this:
and flown 2000 feet above the city (need i remind you that the Sears tower barely makes 1450 ft.)
and took a perfectly level photo.
care to elaborate?

Not to mention that to get that depth of field the aperture had to be very small. Small apertures require very slow shutter speeds and absolutely no movement. So, I can see that explanation being reasonable if they were able to keep the kite perfectly still for a minute or two.
I'd still like to now how they triggered the shutter from 2000 feet below without introducing camera shake.

Oh, and I have seen kite photography before using 4x5 large format cameras. It takes a very large kite, and requires the kite to be reeled in and re-launched after every image since large format cameras have to have the film replaced by hand before every shot.

I would also like to know how they took an image of what they were aiming at, because at 2000ft you would expect a whole lot more wind than on ground level where the focus and direction were set.
667meters up there is a great deal of wind even on a windless day on ground level.

Using special panoramic cameras he designed himself Lawrence first tried 20-ft ladders, next a 200 ft telescoping tower of wire and wood, then lighter than air balloons, and finally a series of kites to lift his cameras aloft.
Dubbed the Lawrence Captive Airship it utilized a string of seven kites to lift the specially designed cameras to heights of 2,000 ft. Cameras weighing as much as 49 pounds and capable of producing negatives from 10 x 24 inches to a staggering 30 x 87 inches in size. The largest negatives yet taken from any airborne vehicle.
Each image was produced as a direct contact print producing images with extreme clarity and detail. The exposure was made by sending an electrical signal through the kite string to a solenoid shutter release. When the exposure occurred a small parachute was released. At this signal that the picture had been taken the kites were pulled down and the camera reloaded

This would have produced a relatively stable platform. With each of the the subsequent kites acting as a buffer for the one below, he could have produced stable photographs.
