Is there _any_ parent here who doesn't neglect their kids in one way or another?
Maybe I should rephrase that: Is there _any_ americans in the world who has set up their life to not feel sorry for themselves?

I myself would say no, based on the typical characterization of a redneck. I am not an uneducated white farm laborer, I do not carry a NRA membership card, I am not conservative, and I am not in love with my cousin. I do, however, have a thing for horsepower. Seems this attribute has some people jumping the gun.

It's amusing to hear these sentiments from the continent that twice imploded in collective suicide over the last hundred years and exported that mindset all over the globe.
But at least they don't whine about it.

I just read this again, and I really feel it is a pretty stupid comment, but I could be wrong. Why is the sentiment amusing? How is my position related to collective suicide? How is the mindset of collective suicide exported from here?
And how does this in any way influence the relevance of my observation, beyond removing focus from it?

I try not to assume those typical generalizations of people. If the modern world chooses to associate the terms "redneck" and "stupid", then they are perhaps very generic people who agree with the accepted stereotype.

you made generalizations about americans based on geography. any definitive statement about euros makes just as much sense as saying "Americans are..."
And making note of the repeated catastrophes on the European continent over the last hundred years in light of that observation is not incongruous.
