I think I'm gonna look up a doctor today and make an appt for some time next week. My chest and arm were buggin me this mornin pretty bad still once I got up and movin around. I took my walk anyway, but I didn't really feel like doing it.

I'm going to the doctor today. My ciggarette intake has doubled in the last six months and I'm begining to sound like a broken foghorn. I woke up at 5:30 in the morning with a coughing fit and I had a hard time breathing. I wish I could pull my head out of my ass and start trying to be a little healthier but I'm having a hard time really caring.

In anticipation of my Dr's appt tomorrow, I went to the state fair today and ate THREE corny dogs, one fried latte, one chocolate-dipped strawberry shishkabob and one large vanillla malt

doctor ordered more tests starting wednesday. he said I should take this pretty seriously. he put me on a bunch of medication. I'm bummed, but at least I'm not in the dark about shit anymore.

They're doin a thalium test on Wednesday and then they'll determine whether or not to do a catheterization. that all sounds so icky and invasive.

I have no idea what a thallium test is, or why'd you need catherization...but I hope the docs give you the help you need. Sounds like you're certainly eating well and getting some exercise. Best of luck to ya, bubba.

The thallium dye test is no big deal, really. At most it might make you briefly nauseous.

Catheterization is quite invasive, and somewhat painful, as they have to insert the catheter into the femoral artery at the groin, and thread it up to your heart through the arterial system. It is quite interesting to lie on the table and watch the progress on the monitor they usually position so you can see the entire internal process. I had that done in '97, fortunately they found no significant blockages.
