Fubar, I like your definitions far better than those I found in my dictionary or in Google so I think that I will see in I can use them in briilliant conversation. One more margarita and I think that I can get them all in one sentence.

Large vocabulary isn't a display of education or positive personal quality. It's a sign of pretension. The only reason someone would intentionally use obscure and uncommon words is as yet another way to make others look and feel stupid.

I disagree. Use of proper terminology allows much more precise statements to be made. Often, one well chosen word can say better what one might otherwise expend a paragraph on approximating.
