So my ex-girlfriend comes back into my life....

So I am at a friend of mine's apartment, smoking bowls, playing video games, just bumming around. I walk over to his computer, get online, and he asks me to check his e-mail. So I proceed to do so, and I see an e-mail from my ex-girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend. The one that is still in my thoughts. The one that I still want, at least a little bit. But it is also the one that put me through hell, the one that caused so much pain. So what I am to do? I ask him if I can read it, he grins and says yeah. I read it. I guess she is starting to regret everything she ever did when she was younger. And she mentioned me. What am I to think? So I did the only thing I could, I wrote her an e-mail (from his account of course) And she wrote back apologizing, and how she wants to be friends, blah blah blah. Well I wrote her back one with the intent to tell her to shove it, but I coulden't. Now that I am home, my friend is going to forward me the e-mail if she sends one. I am lost on what to do. This is someone I cared about so deeply, and she not only broke my heart, but used threw my feelings back in my face. It was bad. But there were so many good times. Should I give it a try and risk falling for her again? Or do I leave her and everything else in the past and move on? Help? And go right ahead and crack jokes.

Well the good part is that it got you to resurface here.

All I can say is that girls are usually evil and she's probably relishing the thought of causing your further pain.

Of course the women on this board will deny that... remember that even though they post here they are still on her side. Even if the give you the same advice I do, they are up to something, it's a trick, a trap, run!

Tell her you wanna be friends with benefits. If she doesn't like it tell her to fuck off.

Then kill your friend for good measure, what's he doing writing her anyway.. either making fun of you with her or trying to screw her or both. He needs to die.

Honestly? I wouldn't. Anyone who knows how to twist your feelings like that against you and has used that ability should be avoided. An old GF(when I was 16) did something similar to that. We met again a year back, and initally it was cool but she just started it again when she wanted something from me.

I slept for 14 hours straight. But now I have been awake for about 22 hours straight. I think there's something in that mixture.

/me comes out of lurking...

my first girlfriend was completely shitty to me. then i started seeing her several years later at college. She gave me a note saying she was sorry for the way she was back then and thought it would be fun to hang out again.

I didn't get back to her. I felt it would be in my best interest if I just acted like we never met.

My friend and her got nothing, I know that for a fact, he has been with his girlfriend for 4 years now. He has nothing to do with it. She was just e-mailing him because a friend of his gave her his e-mail address because she wanted to bull shit, then she started feeling all guilty for everything she has done, blah blah blah. I thank you all for responding, and I am just going to smoke, and then sleep on it for now. Keep the advice comming, I am sure I won't figure this out by tomarrow. Talk to you all soon.
