 observations on women and forums (and men)
Okay. This is missphinx, herself, here. So it's not for the weak at heart or anyone here who considers themselves normal or rational. Grammar and language contained herein, I guarantee you, won't be up to English 1A standards. I also ramble incoherently, so this may be completely incomprehensible. And if there aren't enough smilies or whatever, fuck off  .
There's a motley assortment here who have had the questionable experience of honest PMs and email from me. Not probably who you'd expect *cough*. But anyway, I felt like writing as myself today to you all.
I have been thinking about women, among other things. In particular, the women here and recent **cough** topics of discussion. And reactions to women. By men.
Personal opinion.
Women who make it to a forum like this are women with strong personalities. Women who thrived in the SPF experience are pretty damn strong. In other words, we're tough bitches capable of protecting ourselves and those we care about. I personally think that's wonderful, since hey, that's me too.
Okay. So here we are in the Asylum. The pack of hyenas otherwise known as women here are very close, even when it's not apparent. There's a tremendous amount of love and support between us. Right now I can't think of *any* female here I don't care about. And I've been thinking about this.
So. Say...let's just say we get a new person. Fresh from the joys of SPF, even. Somebody who is used to fighting and flames and protecting herself and all that crap. You know. So, they show up here. And it's different here, but it's still a forum. And they don't know anybody. So maybe they're just a little bitchy and snotty. So fucking what. And so maybe people here (hyenas) react to that. That's the way it goes. And in every case so far I've noticed, is those new people maybe get a clue, learn that being snotty and bitchy doesn't have the same reactions here as elsewhere, and they start being themselves. And everybody gets to know each other. And the women here who got bitchy back feel bad and apologize and hugs are exchanged and all and everybody bonds. And the new people are now part of the pack. I haven't seen any new women disappearing because they got in a cat fight. Quite the opposite. Of course I could have forgotten some, being senile and all, but?
NOTE. THIS HAPPENS WITH OR WITHOUT MALE INTERFERENCE. MALE INTERFERENCE TENDS TO INTENSIFY BAD FEELINGS AND GENERALLY FUCK UP FEMALE INTERACTIONS WHETHER MALES SEE IT THAT WAY OR NOT.
A couple of very personal comments here. I thought the flowers from Princess_Heather were really beautiful. I'm not talking about images, either. Princess_Heather, welcome! And whether you like it or not, I think you're one of us hyenas now  . Hugs. And Kaye. That "I'm New" thread was irritating, because I got this one-sided flat impression of your personality (zzz). However, I noticed that you just posted some very cool pics of you in the photo album on your bike etc that fucking rock. THANK you. You're real Welcome! And while I'm being all mushy and crap, I don't think I've ever said hello to Emerald. Hello, Emerald
Okay. End of girly huggy shit and back to the topic of men.
Paint. If you analyze and dissect this post in 5,000 word, line-by-line, debate-camp style as is your wont, so help me God I am not going to be responsible for my actions. At this point, that probably means I am going to just laugh at you, since obviously you can't help yourself. You're a guy and all. *cough*
Note. morgana is a beautiful and wonderful and goddess-like exception to this, but most women aren't particularly interested in or good at debate-style arguments. Okay? I hate them. They just make me upset and emotional and quite often pissed off. I don't think at this point I'm ever going to change, nor do I want to.
And wonder, man do you have a temper. And yeah I shut up in that one thread on purpose.
Both of you guys are awesome in your own ways, but dammit, stop telling us women to shut up and behave themselves. I don't think it's particularly conducive to the results you seem to be trying to achieve otherwise. I doubt you see it that way, but that's my raw, bitchy, hysterical, female perspective.
You other guys here. You have been much better recently about the tendency to make negative and demeaning generalizations about women (i.e. all women are bitches; you don't understand women). YAY!
This place is a magnificent opportunity for you to *learn* about the weirdnesses and pecularities of girls. You get to hear what we say and watch how we act. With our pants down, *cough*, as it were. Down-and-dirty pudding wrestling. Girl talk. Take advantage of it, please.
All I know is I have learned a hell of a lot about guys in places like this, over the years. It's given me a better understanding (I think?) of what guys are like and the problems they have being guys and all that stuff. Makes me love them more.
ANYway. So. Continuation of ramble. Note. If you see me being a hysterical bitch in the future to new OR old people, tough shit. ZZZZzzzzzzzz.
