Mario Soto
1978-2001

Mario Soto died Tuesday at 3:00 PM from a motorcycle accident in his home country, Columbia.

Mario rode for the Dan's Competition team for two years at the beginning of his career. He advanced on to ride AA Pro, picking up Powerlite as his factory sponsor. Mario was considered by many to be one of the best riders in BMX.

Mario's personality was amazing, his smile lit up the room and his riding style captivated the attention of everyone at the races. As Mario's accomplishments were many, he remained the same friendly young man. He truly was a superstar, and that star will always and forever shine in our hearts and memories...

You will be missed, Mario.
