I'm totally that obnoxious person that has never had a Facebook page, and mentions that fact occasionally.

Which has actually blown up in my face more than once. I almost couldn't get a place a few years ago because, apparently, the person renting it couldn't find me on Facebook and thus assumed I had something to hide and would probably start some kind of Rape Cult. Also, like half of my job involves social media, so I've got that going for me. Which is nice.

Hi Paint HI HI HI!!!

So my older brother is a minister in West Virginia and on his facebook page he wants all to pray for the coal miners there because they had just laid off another thousand people.
I said my peace but I also mentioned that we really shouldn't exactly blame Obama for this.
Well I did a little bit more.
I linked a video to the problem there and the river of sludge that became from years of mining held up by a dam above a grade school and how the kids are getting sick.
Well a rich man donated millions to move that school and they live happily ever after.
So I just suggested that if they clean up that sludge maybe they can produce coal again and I emphasize that it was my opinion. And that green energy equals jobs too. That surely if they put some windmills on top of their mountain jobs would come back.
Well his friends list got furious with this so my brother messaged me asking to not do this anymore.
WTF?
I mean if I offended anyone I'm sorry. But I'm not going to automatically change my mind to who I'll vote for this November.
Okay that sludge comment was a bit harsh but in my mind it fucking makes sense.

So I'm debating with my brother again and he's dead set on voting for Romney because he believes he will help his coal town of west Virginia.
I tossed him a few articles that states that coal is down because natural gas is up.
And it's also cheaper so blame it on competition.
But he's dead set. He hates Obama but can't tell me why like it's a big secret.
So then I tell him this.
If you want to save your town you need to make coal an increased demand over natural gas.
And to do this you must do everything you can to slow down fracking for natural gas.
Do this and coal will be on the demand again.
With Obama this may happen.
But Romney wants to frack wherever he can for natural gas.
And this is who you want?
Then he said he is done and good night.
It's so frustrating man.
It really is.

Now this is odd ... I can get in via my phone, and my tablet, but if I try it on my PC I just get this crap.



Firefox, Chrome, IE makes no difference. clearing cookies + cache does fuck all, neither does turning the antivirus off ... just going to try another laptop. Bit stumped. :/

My cousin for whom I have never met shared this pic to us on Facebook.
I have never ever seen this pic before. Neither has my brothers. My mom only remembers this from way back and she thought it was lost forever.
My dad is the third person standing from the left. Below him,sitting down wearing a black dress is my grandma.

With this one pic I shared in our side forum I learned who all these people were that friended me that just happened to share the same last name with me,which is not very common to Filipino's apparently. So not only do I know who my cousins are but I now know HOW they are my cousins. One cousin even told me about my grandfather how he too has brothers and sisters and I was able to tie a whole group to my grandfather's brother's kids and their kids. Bottom line I know over 200 relatives that are friends with me on FB and we now talk more frequently,some using translation programs because they could only speak Tagalong.
So this,my friends,is why Facebook kicks ass and why I would never close my account. Ever.
