I have absolutely no problem with people criticising/not liking Obama, it's just that so much of his opposition is running against the imaginary "Obama: the Secret Muslim Socialist Usurper" than "Obama: The President."
It's not that I don't recognize that my ideal candidate is a pipe dream on the best of days, it's the Gitmo, it's the drones, it's the assassinating USA citizens, the not Legalizing It - all taken together, the fact that he's an appeaser of the insurance companies (and that brown nosing Dem catamites hail this as some sort of vital triumph for the future) pisses me off more than any of it combined. Well, if he wasn't born here, or born of American parents offshore, he is illegitimately in office. If he is secretly muslim/communist/whatever, then were the supposed facts known, he would not be in that office in this society.
Personally, I think he is much, MUCH worse than any of those things. He is a lieing, hypocritical, professional politician - lower than any ambulance chasing dirt-bag television advertising lawyer. Frankly, he's worse than his predecessor in that regard.
For all of that, he's still the lesser of the two evils put forward by the political machine.

I agree that he would not be in office and disagree that those traits should disqualify a candidate. Absurdity of the "true father" claims aside, it seems to be rather pointless to bring up these claims now as he hasn't presided as a communist. So yeah, Sore Losers are being Sore.
It really flips my mind that a Muslim would not be considered a good president in this society but a Mormon would. Or even a Christian when you really think about it.
What would society feel about an Atheist president? One that embraces science?
And if anyone would choose to dislike our president then be honest about what you base it on. If you base it on the fact that his middle name is Hussein and he's black and you really believe he's not American then you have no basis with me. Ignorant would be the proper term to describe you as far as I'm concerned.
But if you base it on being too much in the middle,trying to do the impossible by trying to please everyone and you think he has not done enough for you then I respect that and you would be regarded as intelligent. But when you are thrown facts at your face on some issues and you completely dismiss it then you would be called stubborn. Like a stain. Baked on metal for years and years.
