I'm just pissed off about America's health care system T. I'm not mad at anyone it's just so frustrating.
Because even WHEN I lose all my weight and I become fit and healthy I'll still have a pre exsisting condition.
And they better fucking put a gun to my head rather than ruin my family with unpayable hospital bills just for consultation and nothing else so I can go home and die.
And I'm upset over this whole situation too. More than I had originally thought.

Well, there are ways around that LF. They have to treat you, regardless (go to the ER) and you can pay as little as $5 a month on the bill, as long as you are paying.
I'm worried to death about TT. I know he's strong, I just can't believe what I'm reading, wow. SO unexpected, but hey like you say, you never know from one day to the next. I've been here more the past few days then I have been in the past few years.

This is the last thing I'm gonna say about this T because I don't want to ruin this thread. You are right. Anyone can go to the ER. But it does not guarantee you will get the care you need. And I don't want a handout I really don't. I want to pay monthly for the possibility of getting sick. But for now I'll stick to continuing to save my money and re read the advice Troll has given me in my PM's.

Finally, the Drs are expressing some (very cautious) optimism. His vital functions are still severely depressed, but slightly imprving with each test series. The surgeries appear to have been successful. The plan is to do a CAT scan Monday to try to get better images of the pancreas, to assess long-term viability. His wife has gone home tonight for the first time in a week, to try to get some rest. As I learn more I'll pass it along.

I have to admit, I've been spending a large amount of time lately thinking of TT. The man set me straight on alot of important issues, and honestly, helped me become a better person. I hold him, Simon, and my father, as the three most influential people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Well, things improve.
BP remains stable, the jaundice (from liver failure) is clearing rapidly, and his kidneys appear to be beginning to function once more. At least one more surgery will be required to drain accumulated fluids. Prognosis is now fair. His wife is confident enough that she has gone home for the night again.
Recovery is going to take some time, but it looks like he'll be back.

Just read the thread, sorry to hear of T_T extended stay in hospital, and glad to hear of his slight improvement.
Not one to state he will be ok because i aint a doctor, but i really hope he is and is back hear quickly, nice person in my opinion.
