Another night in Detroit
Disturbance Interrupts Downtown Concert
Three Transported To Hospital
DETROIT, 10:55 p.m. EST February 2, 2001-- A fight broke out during an Everlast concert Friday night at St. Andrew's Hall.
Local 4 reports that three people were transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital as a result of injuries sustained during a brawl.
Sources tell Local 4 that the fight began after comments by Everlast stirred members of another hip-hop group attending the concert to leave the audience and to rush the stage. Members of the two groups then began to fight.
Two members of St. Andrew's security detail were among those injured in the melee, and they are hospitalized in good condition. A hospital spokesman told Local 4 that they were expected to be released Friday night. A third man taken to te hospital was treated and released.
It was not immediately known how many people were involved in the disturbance, and no other injuries were reported.
