Post stephen hawkings

the physcisist in a wheel chair, spent his career studying blackholes.

so he bet his colleague a subsciption to hustler that blackholes didn't exist. that way if he was wrong, at least he'd get something out of it.

for a dude that can only move one eyeball, that is pretty fucking funny.

He lost that bet and had to pay for the subscription for his friend. I can't remember exactly what the mag was he was supposed to get if he was right. I think it was a science digest of some sort.

Not just all his colleagues. Just Kip S. Thorne, a physicist that is helping the project along.

TEFL, he lost when they decided that Cygnus X-1 was a black hole and not a freak star.

Aminal, Thorne does indeed kick ass. His sci-fi examples of what he is discussing are helpful, albeit a little too geeky.

I need to go back and reread my copy of a Brief History of Time. That is some good stuff to spend a few hours with.
