That’s why I asked. I have been suggesting a lot of points lately, but it seemed no one else was even when I saw people laugh or comment on how good a thread was. I just wanted to make sure we were supposed to suggest them for each other.

the point system seems to be taken a little more seriously than it should be sometimes. for those who don't know, it was designed to be half-joke, half-recognition for contributing to the general atmosphere of the site. how do you "earn" points? by contributing something new and refreshing to the forums. it can be funny or horrible, as long as it's entertaining. that's the whole concept. contribute something new, and you'll be rewarded.

you guys have to realize, the points system is the last thing on the moderators' minds. they have alot more important stuff to worry about than trolling every thread looking for point recommendations. the fact that someone recommended you for a point should be rewarding enough.
