The 7 wonders of the ancient world
The only surviving wonder is the ancient Pyramid of Giza. A gigantic stone structure near the ancient city of Memphis, serving as a tomb for the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu. All the other are gone, Hanging gardens of Babylon, Collosus of Rhodes, Lighthouse of Alexandria, Statue of Zeus, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus and The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. If you were to choose a new 7 wonders, this time of the Modern world, what would they be?
And since 6 of the original ancient 7 are now gone which ancient constructs still standing would you replace them with?
I would nominate the great wall of china as an old, and I nominate the micro processor as a modern wonder.

Seriously though, there are a couple of dams that should be on the list. The Panama canal was a feat of awesome proportions.
I think that of all that could be mentioned here, there is one very miniscule struture that should rank near the top of the list.
A flag... The one that was planted on the moon in 1969.

did somebody say "micro processor?"
I don't think that counts.
I would say the Great Wall of China, wonderaz has a great point with the moon flag and Panama canal, stonehenge maybe, Mt Rushmore or that Crazy Horse sculpture that they'll never finish, and Hotel California.

Point being, the wonders of the world are man made structures, like buildings and sculptures and shit like that, and tend to be only one object or spot.
That is why they never listed "The Wheel" as being the 8th wonder of the world.

I say silly putty should be one. It steals the soul of the newspaper you know.
Nerf has saved many small children from injury. I nominate that too.
